The Founder-O Sensei Morihei Ueshiba

1883: was born in TANABE, province of Kii (Wakayama Prefecture) on 14 December.

1901: (17 years), he moved to Tokyo in September and open a stationery shop. Studia "Tenshin Shin yo-ryu Jujutsu" with master Tokusaburo Iwama in Tokyo.                  Brief study of the sword school Shinkage-ryu

1908: (24 years) received from Master Masanosuke Tsuboi (or by Masakatsu Nakai) certificate of Yagyu-ryu Jujitsu ".

1910: (26 years) moves in "Hokkaido" to evaluate a land development project sponsored by the Government. Back to Tanabe.

1928: (44 years) moved to Shiba, Tsunamachi, temporary dojo.

1929: (45 years) he moved with his family to Shiba, Kuruma-machi, where a momentary dojo system.

1930: (46 years) moved to Shimo-ochiai in Mejiro. Jigoro Kano, the founder of Judo, after observing a demonstration in "Mejiro dojo" sends many students of the               Kodokan to study from Ueshiba Sensei, including Minoru Mochizuki 

1931: (47 years) inauguration of "KOBUKAN" dojo in Ushigome, Wakamatsu-cho Takeda sokaku teaches from 20 March to 7 Aprile at the                                                  Kobukan dojo. For the last &time the name Ueshiba appears between members on Takeda's book

1932: (48 years old) settles the "Budo Sen ' yokai" (society for the promotion of martial arts) headed by Ueshiba Sensei.

1933: (49 years) technical manual "BUDO RENSHU" is published 

1935: (51 years) in Osaka, he participated in a documentary filmed by the newspaper Asahi with Takuma Hisa. The second incident "Omoto".

1937: (53 years) the name of Morihei Ueshiba appears, together with that of Zenzaburo Akazawa, the book of registration of school "Kashima Shinto-ryu". 

1938: (54 years) technical manual published "BUDO"

Teaches at the military police Academy.                He was nvited to teach in Manchuria during the Academic Week of martial arts. 1942: (58 years) appears officially the name "AIKIDO" recorded by the Ministry of education. In August, on the occasion of the 10 anniversary of independence,                       was invited, in Manchuria, to hold a demonstration as a representative of Japanese martial arts. MOVED TO IWAMA, IBARAGI PREFECTURE His                               son, KisshomaruUeshiba, becomes Director of the Kobukan 

1943: (59 years) Constructs to Iwama the first "AIKI JINJIA." 

1945: (61 years) with the end of the 2° world war and the banning of martial arts the Kobukai Foundation ceases its activities. THE IWAMA DOJO IS                                           COMPLETED.

1946: (62 years) Morihiro Saito in Iwama dojo enters. 

1948: (64 years) In Iwama is totally immersed in the work of the field, in practice and in meditation. The Aikikai Honbu Dojo moved to Iwama, an Office is opened             in Tokyo. Kisshomaru becomes head of the Aikikai dojo. 

1949: (65 years) To dojo in Tokyo resumes regular practice. 

1956: (72) The Hombu returns to Tokyo. "O Sensei Ueshiba Die" holds a demonstration at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in front of many foreign dignitaries, organized             by André Nocquet. 

1958: (74 years) appears in a U.S. television documentary

1960: (76 years) receiving the Medal of honor from the Japanese Government. 

1961: (77 years) in February, goes into the Hawaii invited to the inauguration of the "Honolulu Aikikai". Appears in a TV documentary of NHK The "All-Japan                Student Aikido Federation" is established with Ueshiba President. 

1963: (79 years) held In October, at Hibiya Kokaido, for the first time an All Japan Aikido demonstration

1964: (80 years) Receives, as a founder of Aikido, the order of the rising sun, 4° class.

1968: (84 years) constructs the new Hombu Dojo. 

1969: (85 years) appears in his latest demonstration on January 15 during the celebration of the Kagami Biraki. He died on April 26 for a liver cancer. His ashes are           buried at Kozanji, Tanabe. The hair is kept at Dojo, Kumano, Ayabe and Hombu Dojo. Becomes honorary citizen of Tanabe and Iwama. In June also dies                his wife Hatsu
